Since December 10, 2024, they have been occupying the Gaîté Lyrique, a cultural establishment owned by the Mairie de Paris. There are more than 250 young people aged 14 to 17 from Africa and other parts of the world.
They are living in very difficult situations: problems of access to health care and food, as well as the ever-increasing numbers. The demonstration began at the Gaité Lyrique, and after a march through the heart of Paris, it ended at Hôtel de Ville, where the demonstrators danced and sang, some even throwing themselves on the ground to show their demands to the Paris City Hall.
